Hello! I’m here to write about a produce we always keep on hand at our house. It’s great for baking, mixing into things, on salads and as a snack all on its own. I’m talking about the Super 5 Seed Mix from Gerbs Allergy Friendly Foods. Read on for some details about this delicious snack.
Here’s a list of all the allergens Gerbs Super 5 Seed Mix is free from:
- Tree nuts
Super 5 Seed Mix comes in one, two, and four pound bags. It’s one of the most versatile products Gerbs makes.
If you’ve never heard of Gerbs Allergy Friendly Foods before and you’re dealing with food allergies, it’s your lucky day. This company’s entire facility is free from all of the allergens I listed above. Their products make me feel like a Super AllergyParent because their snacks and ingredients save the day!
But I’ll go over Gerbs as a company in another post. For now, it’s enough to talk about this amazing seed mix. It’s tasty on its own as an unsalted nut-free trail mix, which is great since I have to watch my sodium. I often kick it up a notch by adding some dried fruit or coconut chips. Another thing I use it for is mixing into things.
Like hummus sandwiches? I do too even though they’re sloppy. Adding some Super 5 Seed Mix helps fix that and gives my sandwich more texture. I love adding it to plain yogurt (soy for my dairy-free self) with a handful of dried cranberries. And it gives salads an extra crunch.
One thing I stumbled on by accident was using this mix in baking. I started mixing up a batch of biscotti and realized I’d run out of pumpkin seeds. Super 5 Seed Mix to the rescue! I added that in and even my Italian mother-in-law said it was the best homemade biscotti she’d ever tried. Seriously, this stuff is mother-in-law approved.
So that’s my opinion of Super 5 Seed Mix. There’s a reason it’s the first product on my review list. Is this something you think you’d like? I’d love to hear your thoughts and questions in the comments.
